Savvas Christodoulou, Mariza Anastasiadi and Marianna Georgiou, present a concert/tribute to French music and the great French composers. Works by Poulenc, Ravel, Saint-Saens, Gaubert, Borne, Debussy and Massenet.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PERFORMERS :

The Cypriot flautist Savvas Christodoulou studied at the Prague Conservatory and the music academy of Utrecht under the guidance of the world-renowned soloist Aldo Baerten and the leading figure in Baroque performance, Wilbert Hazelzet. He was a member of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as the symphony orchestras of the Prague Conservatory and Utrecht. He performs as a soloist and in chamber music concerts both in Cyprus and across Europe. Since June 2015, he has been an associate member of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and teaches flute at the Academy of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and at the Music School of Paphos.

The distinguished Cypriot soprano Mariza Anastasiadi has significant collaborations with conductors and artists from Europe and America, and a rich repertoire ranging from medieval to contemporary works. She has performed significant roles from the operatic repertoire (Contessa from 'Le Nozze di Figaro', Lauretta from 'Gianni Schicchi', Dido from 'Dido and Aeneas'), and has collaborated with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Danube Symphony Orchestra, and the Savaria Baroque Orchestra. She has received awards in Pan-European and International singing competitions and significant distinctions.

The young Cypriot pianist Marianna Georgiou completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, where she was a member of various instrumental ensembles and participated in various masterclasses with distinguished pianists. Upon her return to Cyprus, she frequently appears as a soloist and ensemble member in chamber music concerts both in her country and in Central Europe. Her particular interest in contemporary music creation and interdisciplinary collaborations is evident through her participation in significant artistic events such as the Closing Ceremony of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 celebrations, the promenade concert with contemporary music for piano "Street of Keys - Five Steps into the Future," and thematic concerts such as "The Classical Theodorakis"and the solo recital-project titled "Fugitive Visions" with repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries. Since September 2016, she has been teaching at the Music School of Paphos.
