The temperature reaches 40 degrees today with the Meteorological Service issuing a new yellow warning for high temperatures.
The yellow warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees.

Seasonal low pressure affects the area.
Today, after the dissipation of the local low cloud, the weather will become mostly clear, but during the midday and afternoon hours, clouds that will develop, are expected to give isolated rain or even a brief thunderstorm in the mountains and possibly in an area of the interior. The winds will blow, initially mainly southeast to southwest, weak up to 3 Beaufort, to later become mainly southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the afternoon locally on the south coast until strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be calm until a little turbulent. The temperature will rise around 40 degrees in the interior, around 34 in the southeast and east coasts, around 36 on the north coast, around 32 on the rest of the coasts and around 30 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear, however later on there will be locally increased low clouds and sparse fog. The winds will initially blow southwest to northwest weak, 3 and locally to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort, becoming gradually, variable weak up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm until a little turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 22 degrees in the interior and on the coast and around 19 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday the weather will be mostly clear, although in the mountains at noon and in the afternoon there will be locally increased clouds. On Thursday and Friday the weather will be mostly clear.
The temperature will not change significantly on Wednesday, while by Friday it is expected to gradually rise, and will fluctuate above average climatic values.
