The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Yiannis Karousos, had a meeting today with the Mayor of Polis Chrysochous, Giotis Papachristofis and the members of the Municipal Council.
During the meeting, an update was given on the construction of the Pafos-Polis Chrysochous motorway, the unification of the archaeological sites and issues related to the upgrading works promoted by the Ports Authority at the Harbour.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr. Yiannis Karousos, stated that with the Mayor and the members of the Municipal Council they discussed issues concerning the Municipality and informed them about the progress of the projects under implementation. He then added: "We had the opportunity to actively express our support for the construction of a sidewalk with a budget of 1.2 million euros, which will connect the City with Latchi, a project we had promised to the Municipality." Finally, Mr. Karousos mentioned that the financing of this project has now been secured, the implementation of which will be undertaken by the Municipality itself.
