Another redevelopment project, worth €6,172,000 plus VAT, will be implemented in the traditional core of the Anavargos district and the southern area of the traditional shopping centre.
Today the Mayor of the city Phaedon Phaedonos signed a contract for the award of the project with the contractor company Miltiades Neophytoy Civil Engineering Contractors Developers Limited, which emerged as the company that will undertake the project through Tender No. 66/2021. The works will start immediately and will be completed within 12 months. The project is co-funded by the Cohesion Policy Funds of the European Union.
In the traditional Centre, the project, as stated in an announcement, includes the replacement of existing pavements, the creation of a parking area, the creation of pavements and the marking of pedestrian crossings and the landscaping of green areas, while in the Anavargos district it will include, among others, the complete reconstruction and widening of Vasilikon Avenue, the reconstruction and configuration of roads, the creation of pavements, the construction of new pavements, the renewal of street lighting and urban equipment, the placing underground of public utilities and the configuration of customer space.
