The new upgraded image of SODAP beach in Kato Paphos and the addition of the luxurious Antasia Beach Club, an enriching project of the Paphos tourist product to be managed by Thanos Hotels, was visited in the afternoon by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios and the Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedon, accompanied by the head of Thanos Hotels, Thanos Michaelides.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism spoke of a great addition and upgrade of this beach area. Our beaches, he stressed, are our most important product and it is no coincidence that at this time last year we announced a plan that subsidized beach upgrades.
"The Municipality of Paphos was one of those who took advantage of the project, upgrading this beach with a sponsorship of €70,000," he said.
In a statement, the Mayor of Paphos stressed that this project is the best proof that one must one day dare to make pioneering projects in order to win in the battle of traffic and thanked the Deputy Minister of Tourism for the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the upgrading of the surrounding area.
"It will be followed by the next big project in the region," he said, "that of building 22 wave breakers for a total cost of €11 million, which will contribute to the creation of sandy beaches that we so need."
Inspired by the seaside breeze of the city, very close to the Almyra Hotel, on the unique sandy beach of Kato Paphos, Antasia Beach Club is a new, modern, gastronomic destination, which combines the airy character of the city with its history and future.
