Tourism and business prospects between Pafos and Israel are looking positive for the coming period, according to people involved in the tourist industry in Cyprus who have recently participated in the tourist fair in Tel Aviv and had contacts with their Israeli counterparts.
Tourist agents and businessmen from Pafos appear optimistic about developing further ties with Israel in areas such as services for wedding ceremonies, tourism in specific sectors of the industry and business deals.
According to the Pafos business community, the Israeli market marked a huge increase in 2019, taking fourth place in terms of arrivals and registering a 50% increase compared to the previous year.
Bookings for 2020 are also on the rise, so is expressed interest in Cyprus.
As far as Pafos is concerned, the Israeli market is showing an upward trend in the past few years and the local business community believes that Israel is one of the markets which can develop even further.
