TALA NEWS - APRIL 2018



April news for Tala residents:

- The outside staff now have uniforms - these will readily identify staff to residents.

-  Tala Council are investigating measures to improve traffic flow on the main road at the junctions below the school and opposite the Pafilia building site.  A roundabout is a possibility.

- Changing rooms are to be built at the Football pitch.   A contract has also been signed with A Tsokkos Hotels for the months of January to March 2019, 2020 and 2021 to allow visiting football teams to use the pitch and facilities.

- Phase 2 of the Square will be going out to tender imminently.   Information will be shared when available regarding the schedule of works.

-Over the Orthodox Easter period and subsequent weeks, a large number of metal gratings have been stolen from the Monastery owned plots off Stephanie Avenue.   The thieves even removed a series of gratings which go across one of the roads, and gratings at the base of a series of steps.   The Police have been informed.  At the time of writing, Police are interviewing a man regarding the theft of metal gratings in Nicosia.  It is not thought that the two incidents are related.
