BENEFICIAL RAINS IN THE LAST 24 HOURS IN THE FOREST OF PAFOS - THE DEPARTMENT OF FORESTS RECOMMENDS CAUTION ON THE ROADS - Filenews 23/5
Significant rainfall was recorded in the last few hours in the Paphos forest, contributing to the enrichment of water resources, the strengthening of forest vegetation and the improvement of the sensitive forest ecosystem.
According to the Department of Forests, rains are considered particularly beneficial for the forest and the natural regeneration of the area, in view of the summer season.
At the same time, severe weather phenomena require increased attention from the public, especially when moving on forest roads and in places where there is increased rainwater runoff, slipperiness or debris.
Crews of the Department of Forests are working intensively in the field to clean and restore the forest road network, with the aim of ensuring safe access and immediate service to citizens. The Department closely monitors the situation and intervenes where necessary.
