TOM - THESE ARE THE VEHICLES THAT POSE A RISK OF FIRE AND INJURY - Pafos Press 8/4
The Department of Road Transport warns of the risk of fire and injuries from specific vehicles, according to information received from the Consumer Protection Service, during the 13th week of 2026 on the website of the EU early warning system for dangerous non-food products (Safety Gate).
Specifically, the Department of Road Transport warns of the risk of fire and injuries for the Ford Kuga passenger car (02.08.2019 – 28.11.2023)
The risk of fire also concerns the Hyundai Kona passenger car (24.01.2018 – 15.07.202), the VW ID. BUZZ, ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.BUZZ CARGO (17.02.2022 – 23.08.2024), the Nissan Micra passenger car (12.12.2025) and the Freefire HVH Electric Mountain Bike.
The risk of injury concerns the MAN/Neoplan and Man TGA, TGL, TGM, TGS, TGX, eTGS, eTGX, hTGX, LIONS COACH, TOURLINER truck/bus (18.8.2025 – 15.12.2025), the Volvo EX30 passenger car (2025), the Fiat Doblo passenger car (15.10.2025 – 24.02.2026) and Scudo (15.10.2025 – 28.02.2026), the CITROEN Berlingo passenger car (15.10.2025 – 02.03.2026) and the CITROEN Jumpy light commercial vehicle (15.10.2025 – 28.02.2026).
It also concerns the passenger cars Peugeot 208 V2 (02.11.2025 – 24.02.2026), 308 V3 (19.10.2025 – 05.02.2026) and the passenger vans Peugeot Rifter and Partner, (15.10.2025 – 26.02.2026) and Expert 4 (15.10.2025 – 28.02.2026), as well as the passenger car DS4 V2 (05.12.2025 – 27.02.2026) and DS7 Crossback (19.10.2025 – 05.02.2026).

The Department calls on manufacturers, representatives, distributors of the manufacturer, importers and sellers (including those acting online or remotely), who may have placed or are placing such products on the market of the Republic of Cyprus, to inform the Department of Road Transport accordingly.
It is noted that, in the event that the said products are placed on the market of the Republic of Cyprus, the above economic operators must take all necessary measures to ensure that these products are recalled as provided for in the relevant legislation.
The Department also calls on consumers, in the event that they own the above cars, to contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer's representative or distributor for instructions. Any possession of the above vehicles should be examined based on the registration certificate of the vehicle they own (stalk) and the information included therein (e.g. manufacturing range, type/model number).
In the event that a manufacturer, representative, manufacturer's distributor, importer or seller refuses to comply with the above consumer rights, the consumer is invited to submit his complaint in writing to the Consumer Protection Service via the website www.consumer.gov.cy.
