PAPHOS CARNIVAL TODAY - WHICH ROADS ARE AFFECTED?

The Paphos Carnival 2026 culminates today with the Great Carnival Parade, the most frantic celebration of the city that will fill the streets of Paphos with colour, music and floats. The parade will take place at 3.00pm, starting from the buildings of the District Administration and finishing at Evagoras Pallikaridi Avenue, with the presence of over 50 participants from groups and floats.

The parade will be led by "The King of the Enchanted Forest", accompanied again by dance schools and cheerleaders, to the rhythm of the lively carnival atmosphere.

The streets will be filled with spectacular floats, colourful costumes and smiles, offering an experience that combines music, spectacle and inexhaustible fun. People are invited to celebrate with the participants and become part of the magical atmosphere of the Paphos Carnival, enjoying the carnival liveliness until the finish.

Which roads are closed

Main roads in Paphos will be closed to traffic today, Saturday, February 21, for the purpose of holding the carnival parade, organized by the Municipality of Paphos. The Police are taking measures for the safe movement of citizens and the regulation of traffic during the event.

Specifically, from 1.30 pm today, until 9.00 pm, Griva Digeni Avenue, in Paphos, will be closed to traffic, from the height of the junction with Athinon Avenue and Neophytou Nikolaidis Street, up to Kennedy Square and the intersection with Evagora Pallikaridi Avenue and Charalambou Mouskou Street.

Passing vehicle drivers are asked to be especially careful and follow the instructions of the members of the Police who will be in the area for the safe conduct of the event.
