The Service Centre for the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance and the Welfare Benefits Administration Service will not operate today, through the pancyprian number 1450.
As the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Philippos Hadjizacharias mentioned, there was a rush in the implementation of the decision, since the Centre is not yet ready to properly handle the incoming calls of citizens.
During test calls made, he added, the answers given by the contractor's staff were not satisfactory.
This is what Mr Hadjizacharias himself pointed out yesterday, together with the Minister of Labour and the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare.
To solve the problem, Mr. Hadjizacharia said that there will be a meeting with the contractor, since there is a need for better training of the 22 employees it employs.
Referring to the delay in the service of providing assistance to the elderly at the touch of a red button, Mr. Hadjizacharia said that its implementation is delayed, because the deputy ministry of social welfare did not provide the clarifications that had been requested for the beneficiaries and the aid providers.
