The Ministry of Health informs that the free availability of self-tests by pharmacies will begin on Tuesday, December 21 and citizens can receive the package of five self-tests within a period of one month from the start of the process for once. Through the process of self-testing with rapid antigen detection tests, the citizen protects both his health and his loved ones.
Beneficiaries are those citizens who have completed their vaccination program with two doses for the two dose vaccines and one dose for the single-dose vaccine or received the booster/ 3rd dose of vaccine and are also beneficiaries of the GHS.
a) GHS beneficiaries will receive their self-tests from GHS-contracted pharmacies upon presentation of proof of identification.
- The package includes five self-tests and citizens will have the opportunity to voluntarily perform the test to see if they are positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
- In case of a positive result, citizens should contact their Personal Doctor to refer them for PCR examination to the Public Health Clinics of their province of residence.
b) Citizens who are not beneficiaries of the GHS, but have completed their vaccination regimen in Cyprus, either with two doses for double dose vaccines or a dose of single-dose vaccine, or have received the booster/3rd dose of the vaccine, can receive the package containing the five self-tests from the following points, daily from 10:30 a.m. to 13:00 p.m.

In case of a positive result, citizens should contact the Coordination Center for Public Health Clinics at the email: coordination.iatreiadygeias@moh.gov.cy by sending your identification details (name, surname, phone number, id number, date of birth and province), as well as a photo of your positive self-test.
