The Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance informs that, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Operation of Shops and the Terms of Employment of their Employees legislation, all General Stores must observe the Christmas hours (01.12.2021 – 31.12.2021).
According to the relevant legislation, general stores can remain open daily until 8:00 p.m., except on Christmas Eve (24.12.2021) and New Year's Eve (31.12.2021) which can remain open until 6:00 p.m.
It is emphasized that on 25 and 26 December 2021, as well as on 1, 2 and 6 January 2022, general stores should remain closed, since the above days are considered holidays for general stores.
Finally, as far as the employees of the Special Branches are concerned, who will work on the above holidays, they should be compensated with a ratio of 1:2 for each hour of work.
