A cultural institution of Pafos with a long course and universal recognition, is further upgraded and acquires an even more central role in the cultural affairs of the city and the province. The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Pafos is now treated by the municipal authority as one of the showcase ensembles of the new era of the city, which is why the central role it already has in terms of events and other cultural events is further strengthened.
In this context, the Municipality is currently proceeding with the preparation of the new uniforms for about 40 members of its Philharmonic, which are impressive and are estimated to further highlight its contribution to the city's culture.
The municipal authority has also granted a building for the accommodation of the Philharmonic, in order for the institution to have its headquarters, which will allow further and more unhindered preparation and improvement of its members. The building is located in the heart of the commercial centre of the city, near the pedestrian street of Makarios and is one of the buildings that have been reconstructed in the context of the great improvements of recent years in the historical and commercial centre of Paphos.
The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Pafos, with Maestro Zacharias Evangelou, will have a central role again this year in the festive atmosphere in which the city is slowly entering in view of the approach of Christmas and the new year.
